Two Things To Consider Before Getting a New Powered Shaver

By James Bland

If you are looking to buy a new electric shaver, you must stay focused; it is extremely easy to get confused by the big amount of gimmicks, features, models and manufacturers out there on the current market. But don't worry; we're here to help. Here are a couple of things to consider before making your purchase.

They Clean Themselves!

One of the most highly advanced features that you'll find in a modern electrical shaver, is the one-touch cleaning function. This means that the shaver comes with a docking station which holds your shaver after you have finished shaving. Simply hit a button, and the docking station will clean, dry, lubricate and charge your shaver mechanically. Such docking stations typically take a special cleaning fluid which also kills 99.9% of germs and leaves your shaver smelling lemon-fresh.

Both Braun and Philips shaver models offer this advanced feature, with one or two mid to high-end choices available.

This is definitely one of the features that you need to look out for. One of the pitfalls with electric shavers is that the blades do tend to break down quickly if not carefully looked after and attended to on a regular basis. Caring for a shaver is uninteresting, but a one-touch cleaning and maintenance system almost takes the issue away totally.

So Which Company Sells The Most Shavers?

Both Braun and Philips have extremely popular shaver models on the market, but Philips have the edge in popularity. We took a quick look at the Top 10 hottest electric shavers on amazon.co.uk, and discovered that 5 of the 10 were sold by Philips in contrast to 3 of them which were Braun. Even so,, it's a very a close battle. With 8 out of the top 10 hottest shavers being offered by either company, both of them have shavers flying off of the racks. However , Philips is undeniably Britain's favorite shaver manufacturer.
