Porcelain Veneer

By Roberta Chrabasz

If crowns are utilized for the back teeth restoration, these veneers are significant so that you can improve our smile since these are better for the front teeth. In the past years, I was asked to differentiate feldspathic veneers from pressed porcelain veneers? The first kind of veneers ever made is the feldspathic veneer and after which is the creation of the pressed porcelain veneers. Though these two kinds of veneers are useful, the clients should be familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of the two prior to making a decision on what kind of veneers would they opt to have.

Its Vibrancy Once it is attached, then feldspathic veneers will automatically look so gorgeous. Yet, for more years to come, the veneers will not be as lovely and natural as it is before. The pressed porcelain veneers does not alter the vibrancy though it has been used for a long time.

Replacement Period The patients having feldspathic veners are suggested to have a new veneer if this has been used already for about 7-10 years. Some patients have their veneers attached until 25 years yet this isn't the standard though. But even if they are still suitable, they do not look beautiful though as the pressed porcelain veneers. These pressed porcelain veneers can be used for 10-20 years as the standard.

Wear on Original Teeth The elements of this feldspathic can actually scrape off the opposite teeth. This implies that if the client has feldspathic teeth for veneers or crowns, they will have to wear of the natural teeth that chew against them. This isn't the case for the pressed porcelain since it has a comparable wear features just the same with the natural teeth.

The Color of your Teeth The color of your original teeth will have the same color just like the veneers. The materials used in feldspathic are not that thick therefore if your natural teeth will have a lot of grey shade, then the feldspathic will not be able to hide the teeth's color properly. With the pressed porcelain veneers, you will not be able to experience this kind of problem since the substances used are denser.

The Decay and Integrity of the Margins Good marginal integrity means less terrible effect of the margins. Decays are common to the feldspathic materials if you do not have a good margin consistency. The main reason for this is that the pressed porcelain suits greatly into the primary teeth.

Prior to the presence of these porcelain veneers, the dentist would not allow having the veneers placed over the decayed teeth because this will not improve the condition. Yet this problem will be addressed through this pressed veneer because if these veneers suits properly, this could not make the condition worse.

So that you can improve your smile, both of these feldspathic and pressed veneers are the greatest procedures. Several patients can have feldspathic veneers depending on the condition of his teeth. Others will have to go for pressed porcelain. Just the same with any other decision making, the most ideal for every patient will depend on his needs.
